The Breastfeeding Center for Greater Washington is hosting a movie night on Friday, September 16 at nearby GWU Hospital to premiere the Stone Soup Films documentary about the non-profit organization and to screen the full-length breastfeeding film, The Milky Way.
The event will take place 6:00-9:00 p.m. in the auditorium of GWU hospital, which is in the basement at 900 23rd St NW right next to the Foggy Bottom Metro.
Initially planned for August 5 as part of the Center’s Nourish, Flourish, Connect program of events during World Breastfeeding Week, the screening event was rescheduled due to technical issues. The suggested donation is $10. The Center will provide hors d’oeuvres and other snacks and drinks. All proceeds will go to the Center’s “Build a Better Nest” campaign, which is raising funds for a new and expanded location to serve more families.

Mindful Healthy Life is thrilled to be able to offer a Snuggle Me Organic co-sleeping bed for babies as a giveaway to one of the screening attendees. As we wrote last month, we were thrilled to meet the folks from Snuggle Me Organic at MommyCon DC this summer.
Come to the Center’s event for a chance to win one, and check back later this fall when we will host another giveaway for one of these sumptuous, cozy newborn beds!
