Heavenly Bodies Clinic is putting on a one-day event October 27 that will help participants understand how to use the information on gut biome to improve your health. At The Gut Microbiome and Your Health, Eastern and western medicine join forces for a day of in-depth information on your gut, the second brain and your health.
New health information explodes across the internet regularly, and much of it fails to give us a direction to take that will help us feel better on a daily basis. In this conference we tackle the latest results from long-term studies which prove that the health of your Gut Microbiome directly correlates with your level of health.
Let’s take it apart slowly:
The Gut has a brain of its own located in the lining of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine and colon.
The Microbiome is the trillions of bacteria, viruses, fungi, and other microscopic organisms lining vital body parts such as your stomach, intestines, mouth, and skin. Your digestive tract alone —your Gut Microbiome, houses 99% of the microbial cells that make up 90% of your body. You are only 10% human.
The Gut’s brain plays a major role in human happiness and misery. Gastrointestinal disorders like colitis and irritable bowel syndrome (and abdominal Autism and abdominal migraines) originate from problems within the gut’s brain, which in turn originate from the poor health of the trillions of organisms that keep the gut nourished.
The Gut Microbiome and Your Health is geared towards those who are already intelligent about health and who want to understand what they are reading about the Gut Micorbiome being the underlying cause of modern diseases that diminish everyday health and joy in life.
The conference uniquely features both the Eastern medicine perspective on non-drug treatment as well as the western medicine perspective on the science of the Gut Biome and its effect on our health, on the soil and on our environment.
Expert researchers as well as practicing physicians, the keynote speakers will teach from their experience with treatments that heal the modern diseases caused by a sick gut biome.
In the morning, Zach Bush, MD of The M Clinic in Charlottesville, VA will speak on “Our Role in the Emergence of Modern Disease Epidemics and Nature’s Capacity to Recover our Soil, Food, and Human Consciousness”
In the afternoon, Xiaowen He & Wanyun Zhong, MD, L.Ac of the H & Z Clinic in Alexandria VA will address “How Eastern medicine is able to use non-drug treatments of acupuncture, herbs and diet therapy to heal the entire body of diseases and symptoms stemming from a sick gut”
The conference will offer time to learn, to ask questions and to connect personally. Participants will leave with answers, solutions and follow-up resources.
