Elaine Gibson of Renewed Living Inc. is passionate about helping people find their way to balance and harmony, key elements for creating extraordinary health, extraordinary business and an extraordinary life. Having recovered from a Stage IV cancer diagnosis without traditional treatment, Elaine now works as a health coach and is putting on a series of Radical Rejuvenation workshops to be held seasonally throughout 2017. The first takes place February 2 with the theme “Intention is Everything.”
I had the privilege of seeing Elaine speak three years ago at a health and wellness event and reached out to her when I heard about the upcoming Intention is Everything workshop to learn more about the series and about her goals for the Radical Rejuvenation workshops.
Elaine told me that when she received her cancer diagnosis in 2008 and was told she would not recover, she “went on a journey to find out what is the total foundation of health.” She knew she didn’t want to accept her prognosis and that she wanted to enjoy life with her two children and eleven grandchildren and to “live in the house of abundance and joy.”
So she fired her doctors and set out to find alternatives. She came to understand the connection between oxygen and cancer. No disease can live in the presence of oxygen. Once she understood that the way we think and indeed thrive is in direct proportion to the oxygen in our cells, confusion disappeared and clarity came. It changed her life to live by the creed of alkalinizing. Small and gentle but radical steps became second nature. Within six months of making changes in her diet and drinking alkaline ionized water, her heath had changed dramatically.
She has been through the stress of worrying about how to get kids out the door each morning, and she understands the challenges of being a parent. However, setting the intention for health has dramatically shifted things for her and the people in her life. Everything she does is through intention. She encourages her clients to consider their sources of support and envision the ultimate rejuvenation. Elaine has worked with many families to overhaul their approach to wellness and has helped parents clarify their intentions and live from a place of abundance, not deprivation.
Visitors to Elaine’s website can subscribe to her email list to get a free recipe book for kid-friendly smoothies. Elaine loves helping parents get their children involved and engaged for healthy eating and for intentional living that takes the rush and stress out of situations. Many of the clients Elaine works with are mothers.
Elaine has designed her Radical Rejuvenation workshops to help participants find their way to true balance and harmony, which, she says, requires balance in all areas of life, including health and wellness, mental and emotional wellbeing, and business and work life. She says that creating intentions “is the secret weapon to real success” that can elevate you becoming unstoppable in all areas of life, including health and your impact on the world.
Having previously worked as a choreographer, Elaine has a knack for envisioning the final product with all its elements. Then she reverse-engineers to identify all the pieces that need to be put in place. This is true of health and its necessary components, like oxygen, and also of her approach to coaching and inspiring others through workshops like Radical Rejuvenation.
Elaine will hold four of these workshops in 2017, one per season. They will all take place 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at The Tower Club in Vienna, Virginia and include a special lunch by Chef Marc. The workshops aim help participants “take charge of your life so you can look, feel, and live better than ever before.”
Joining Elaine in speaking at Intention is Everything on February 2 are Marissa Levin and Kathy Cox. Marissa is an entrepreneur and globally recognized growth strategist and is the founder of Successful Culture. She’s also the author of My Company ROCKS and “Built to Scale” and is a syndicated columnist with SmartCEO magazine. Kathy of Kathy Cox & Co. is a licensed Desire Map Facilitator who presents on mindfulness and self-awareness. She also leads executive coaching sessions and executive retreats.
Radical Rejuvenation workshops are organized by season because food and the body are seasonal. “When you fertilize your lawn, it’s for the next season. The Same is true with your cells and what you get from the food you eat,” Elaine explained.
Many retreats and coaches talk about mindfulness and the spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical aspects of integrated human beings, but the physical part of the food is often not addressed. even though it’s all connected. If you crash energetically around 3:00, your business and work life will suffer, and so will your home life. The Radical Rejuvenation Workshop Series will integrate the energetic aspect of food into the conversation about balance and harmony.
The energy Elaine is putting out into the world is inspiring, and I’m excited for more local moms to connect with her work and to create lives of joy and harmony.
