Don’t miss a unique opportunity to test the toxicity of your home goods and to meet Tamara Rubin of Lead-Safe Mama!
Tamara is making a rare trip from her West Coast home this month, and there are just two (2) spots remaining for her Testing Party in Alexandria on January 18, 1:00-4:00 p.m.
Her in-home testing parties use an XRF machine to detect if people’s personal items – dishes, cookware, jewelry, trinkets, art and more – contain lead, cadmium, mercury, antimony and arsenic . It’s like a Tupperware party but in reverse – get out what’s not healthy!
On January 18, you have the chance to bring a bunch of your items to get real-time results!
Plus, those who join the January 18 party will be added to a private Facebook group where they can ask Tamara questions in advance of the party!
To get a full picture about testing parties, read this post on Tamara’s site. The general idea is that folks come together and have her test their household items with her analyzer. She can get through about 20 items in 30 minutes.
Several people can go in together to share the party, each paying for a half-hour over the course of 3-4 hours. Her fees go toward covering her expensive instrument and her travel costs . Also, she’s got a lot of legal fees resulting from backlash on her advocacy, which has been in the service of health, especially children’s health.
This post provides a little more info about healthy home consultations.
Be sure to follow follow Tamara on Facebook where she shares her blog posts about the detailed results of testing she does on items people send her – vintage china, contemporary dishes and cookware, vintage toys and lots more. You’ll be amazed by what she’s found!
And learn more about her lawsuit against the state of Oregon here and in the 32-page brief.
We’re so lucky Tamara is doing this work. We need her to keep it up!
If want one of the currently remaining two spots – or to split a spot with someone else – email me ASAP at jessica (at) mindfulhealthylife (dot) com.
I’m not hosting but I am helping to organize, and will be there for her to test my stuff! I would love to see you!
The host lives in Alexandria just south of the Beltway. Her address will be shared with participants upon registration.
This should be a fun and informative afternoon! Hope to see you there!
